First Cricut Project!

I unboxed the new Cricut machine and watched most of the tutorials. What a great little device for sparking creativity! The card was part of a tutorial. The cricut draws as well as cuts! Then I chose the graduation bird from a library of designs. It was a breeze to program the machine, have it cut out the shapes, and then glue them together. I am putting the old Cricut (which sometimes won't turn on because of a short in it) in the Junior/Senior Lab. Then if some students show interest, I will introduce them to the new, advanced one. Teachers will be able to use both Cricuts to create bulletin boards or other projects. The Cricut's basic function is to cut out letters and shapes from paper to be used for any kind of paper crafts. As you can see from these photos, projects can become multi-layered, complex, and fabulous!
